DTC Marketing for the fearless

According to the Silicon Valley Bank, State of the Wine Industry Report 2018, the visitor count for wineries in Napa and Sonoma county have been steadily declining. Simply less people are visiting the winery’s tasting rooms and events. We think this trend will continue for all of California. The report comes up with a few reasons for the decline but more important is that wineries focus on how they can bring the experience to the customers.

Less marketing efforts to draw people to the tasting room and more effort on creating the ultimate remote experience the customer will have with the winery. Likely many wineries would fear a further decline, but by offering a premium experience remotely, it would most likely draw more visitors on site.

Either way it is important for the wineries to collect data from anyone that comes in touch with the winery, onsite, online or via Social Media to further enhance and expand the remote experience.
